Deployment
The service technician uses the RPS hammer sleeve to verify that a desired setting weight has been applied to the packer as well as a dynamic load when the hammer sleeve actuates. The dynamic load transfers greater energy onto the packer setting sleeve, thus increasing reliability of the packer setting. The RPS bearing assembly allows for rotation of the workstring while setting the packer, thereby reducing drag and increasing the setting force transmitted into the liner top packer.
